Barleti Medical Group (BMG), through the STAMINA Living Lab, has successfully completed a series of stakeholder engagement activities as part of the PEARL-Lab project (Patient Engagement for Advancing Responsible Living Labs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PEARL-Lab is implemented by Barleti Medical Group and STAMINA Living Lab in collaboration with Fundaci\u00f3n Visible and Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona). The project is funded by the European Union through the REINFORCING Open Call programme, under the REINFORCING project, which supports responsible and inclusive research and innovation across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stakeholder engagement activities brought together patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, researchers, academics, civil society representatives, and healthcare managers to explore how patients can play a more active role in healthcare innovation, research, and healthcare service improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through structured discussions and co-creation exercises, participants shared perspectives on patient engagement, representation, compensation, accessibility, psychological safety, governance, and decision-making. The meetings explored practical approaches for involving patients throughout the innovation lifecycle, from identifying healthcare needs to evaluating solutions and contributing to governance processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insights gathered during these activities will contribute to the development of the PEARL Guidebook, a practical resource designed to help healthcare organizations, living labs, and research teams implement meaningful, ethical, and inclusive patient engagement practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through PEARL-Lab, BMG and STAMINA Living Lab continue their commitment to advancing patient-centered healthcare innovation and strengthening participatory approaches within healthcare research and service development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
